Furniture Reuse Solutions (FRS) is pleased to announce the addition of Brian Jackson to their executive team in the newly created role of Vice President of Operations. Brian brings 25 years of logistics experience to FRS, having worked for large global organizations, as well as start-ups. Throughout his career, his primary focus has been on Third Party Logistics, which involves integrating the operations of warehousing and transportation services that are scaled and customized to customers’ needs. With extensive experience in domestic over-the-road transportation, Brian’s expertise also includes rail, LTL shipping, and ocean transport logistics.
Not only is Brian a logistics expert, but he also brings a breadth of leadership skills to FRS. He has worked in business development, new hire training, implementation of efficiency improvement programs, and the design of value-added services that integrate parts of the supply chain.
A Minnesota native and University of Minnesota graduate, Brian began his logistics career in Southern California. After ten years he relocated to Washington state where he lives with his wife, two college-age students, and two dogs. He enjoys cooking, hiking, and exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
“We are thrilled to have Brian join FRS”, says Megan Draper, CEO of Furniture Reuse Solutions. “He has the perfect background for a fast-growing business like ours. The breadth of his logistics experience will enable him to hit the ground running, as we deal with it all here – domestic trucking and rail, ocean transport, and moving and storage. As a seasoned manager, he will be invaluable in his leadership role as he builds teams, client relationships, and business processes that strengthen our organization and bring us continuing success.”
